The best part of my night was this....
Normally at Jamba Juice we buy these blueberries that are dry and only a bit juicy
But not today!
We had a box of wild blueberries from Washington and boy were they cool!
They were really juicy and turned the basket purple
But wait here comes the best part....
When you go to rinse the basket in water it turns from purple to blue
This happens with normal blueberries but it was even more awesome with the Washington wild blueberries
And that was the best part of my night.... sad.... no? |

So yesterday this little girl told me that I have a pretty voice and should be on American Idol
This really made me think....
Lately I've really had to do some decision making about my future
Normally, (this goes for pretty much everything) I choose the safest route
Whatever is the easiest, least expensive, simplest outcome, makes other people happy etc...
But then I remembered how continuously miserable I am
And this is due to that little safety issue
I am always the second best girl the one who almost gets to be great but is lacking a little something extra
I am constantly talking out of my ass about this living your dreams bullshit
But the truth is, there are very few dreams that I have actually lived
The only way I will ever get the chance to live those dreams is if I take a little risk
So it may have this horrible outcome
I may end up this bitter, ugly, lonely old woman eating dog food in my crappy apartment in Nowheresville
But hey, then again something good could actually come out of this
So back to this complimentary little girl....
She made me realize that I am meant to be an artist
As horribly egotistical as this sounds, its actually true
Art is one of the only things that makes me happy
Singing, writing, acting, painting....
So I cut this bullshit about wanting to be a special ed teacher
Because I'm completely lying to myself
I guess nothing needs to be set in stone now
So I guess Ill just see what happens
I guess doing something that allows me to just shoot the breeze isnt really my style
So thank you little girl for reminding me of the dreams I used to have when I was little....
That was when I thought I could do anything. I guess along the way I forgot that I actually can. |

News of the tsunami is all over right now and I can't seem to get away from the heartbreaking images of lost children and devastated families. We are so lucky to be safe and home with our loved ones, but some people are a lot less fortunate than us throughout the world. I have always wanted to reach out to others and help, but for some reason I always forget because it's easy to not remember what isn't around you. I'm not going to do that anymore! I have to help, I won't stay sane if I don't. Many people are going without right now, and every little bit helps. I know that alone I don't have much to offer, but as a group I think we could donate quit a bit. I have been researching the companies that are taking donations to aid the tsunami victims and I would really love to be able to give. So as a group I am asking us all to pitch in whatever little bit we have to help some desperate people in extreme need. So if you could some how get in contact with me so I can get your donation that would be great. Thanks guys! |

Well I bet you all expect me to make some great big anti Bush, sad for America, liberal pride post here, but I just don't have it in me. Hahahaha bullshit! Well I don't want to go too crazy because I know most of you agree with me (I only know two Republicans with ljs) I just really think Americans have fucked themselves up their great big homophobic asses. They will all see what a ridiculous President he will make in no time. Remember, they do in fact support Bush, so naturally they are a bit slow on the uptake (Four years wasn't even enough) We intelligent Americans that are not rich, white, straight, religious, scared, males will just have to hope that he doesn't fuck it up for us. I'm really so sorry about this one guys. None of you deserve to live in a country thats lead by an idiot. On the serious side, I'm so scared because I can't even imagine how long this war will continue with Bush in power, and I know most of us will have friends or family fighting in Iraq. I'm trying to be optimistic, so if nothing else I hope the next four years will get young people more interested in politics and encourage them to vote in 2008. |

I love and hate today
I love it because its somewhat like my mardi gras. It's the day where I can get my kicks in before my period of blah begins. My god I hate November. Just by what today was like, I can tell it's really going to be extra awful this year. There is really nothing better than being unbearably miserable while caring a fake smile. I really wish I was able to sit back and relax like most people my age do. I wonder if this unnecessary worry and stress is my own fault. My god I cant wait for ten years. You know whats funny, I said that when I was a little girl. I can't remember if anything has gotten better. I think it's just more complex and difficult now. I'll probably be saying the same thing at age 27. The trouble is, I'm not like some obnoxiously depressed little sissy whiner of a teenager, no I actually have problems, so I dont care to wear my sadness on my sleeve. Nope, believe it or not, I'm actually trying really hard to be happy. But maybe the problem is I'm trying, I shouldnt have to. I'm such an idiot. I care way too much. |
